November the 15th, the team evening before the first track day: everybody was excited and working hard to make the car ready. For the track day, we ordered a new PDU (power distribution unit) and we planned to renew parts of the wiring loom. We managed to finish all our tasks in time. We were glad to be ready to hit the road!
The next day we assembled the car, which means attaching the wings and sidepods again. At the beginning of the afternoon, the IM/e went to Zandvoort with the truck, to be followed closely by the team in regular cars. Having arrived in the evening, we made the pitbox ready and we adjusted the configuration of the suspension for the best position of the wheels.
On the track day itself in the early morning, the new team members got to meet Beitkse, our driver for that day! The track day was so far so perfect. Unfortunately, a sudden technical issue occurred, resulting in cancelling the track day. We were all a little bit disappointed even though the issue was not in our hands. Nevertheless, we learned a lot about the organization and technical work needed for a track day.
The next time, we are sure it will run perfect and that we can test!
